Introductory Video
UniRec PA-M is an advanced Ultrasonic Flaw Detector combining a number of different ultrasonic technologies in one portable unit such as 2 standard ultrasonic channels for conventional applications including TOFD, a 32-128 channel Phased Array instrument, also suitable for DUET inspection (simultaneous inspection with Phased Array from both sides of the weld including TOFD inspection), TFM/FMC inspection for advanced evaluation and imaging, special inspection with Dual Linear Type PA probe assemblies and also Matrix probes applications (e.g. for CRA material) as well as SRUT inspection and many more special features and functions.
UniRec PA-M – The perfect solution for all UT jobs
The UniRec PA - M is United NDT’s portable Master instrument for all kinds of inspection jobs utilizing various ultrasonic technologies (Conventional UT, Phased Array, TOFD, SRUT, CHIME inspection, corrosion mapping). And all these come together as standard in one unit! The versatile instrument was designed with a clear focus on easy operation and for rough industrial environment. The Wizard based operation simplifies the use and the calibration procedure. Touch screen operation combined with keypad operation makes it a very user-friendly instrument. The instrument is equipped with two inputs for encoders so that 2axis C-scanning can also be performed (e.g. for corrosion mapping or bond inspection).
UniRec PA-M – Postprocessing capabilities
The instrument comes with a freely distributable, Windows based Postprocessing Software for data analysis and reporting. The same software can be used for remote control from a PC. It is also an ideal solution for remote support or remote training.
UniRec PA-M - FFT analysis feature
With this instrument you can even check the performance of your probes using the FFT analysis. It may also be applied in some special applications, where standard UT methods do not provide sufficient data for analysis, but a frequency shift of a signal will tell you more about possible imperfections.
Monitoring the coupling quality during weld inspections became a very important feature when PA inspection is performed. In the UniRec PA-M instrument the user can freely define the threshold for the backwall signal to distinguish between good and bad coupling. During the scanning process the coupling condition is monitored all the time and an alarm will come up when the coupling is insufficient.
Whether the user wants to modify a gate position, change the angle cursor or use cursors for measurements, this all can also be done without choosing a menu and submenu and to select a function and then change the parameter. This all can be performed by a move of the finger on the touch screen. It is that easy!
